Question Anyone up for a treasure hunt?

BLUF, I came across this information today and I have not a clue of its validity. With that said, I figure if you're retired and live out west, it could be something fun to do with the kids/grandkids.

A multi-millionaire named Forrest Fenn allegedly placed a bronze chest with artifacts, gold, gems, and other stuff worth between 1 and 3 million somewhere in the Rockies. The clues to the treasure have been placed within a poem, a book, and apparently he also left clues in his blog. I would have a great time just hiking the Rockies, but finding the treasure would be a nice little bonus

I can only hope that every geocacher in the Midwest heads to the Rockies looking for gold. No cache is safe from those guys. I swear, they must comb over every square inch of land.

Pro tip: check the geocache database before emplacing a cache and stay at least a mile away from any registered geocache locale.

Hopefully he doesn't have a girlfriend that will give up the whole enchilada for some money to go to an animal rights group.
