Military officials are not calling this an attempted terrorist attack.

So much for the multi million dollar set of tire spikes and bollards, that are 200 meters past the guard shack, that are meant to prevent that at the touch of a button.

Geeez.

I live 15 miles east of San Antonio and have regular meetings at JBSA. Most of the times the security forces at the gates couldn't tell you if I showed them my CAC/retiree ID or a library card. I'm shocked they caught this individual.

I regularly travel to Fort Hood as well and the contrast between there and Fort Sam could not be more stark. Fort Hood regularly spot checks cars and individuals.
