Brooks: Military posers likely to get caught

Brooks: Military posers likely to get caught

"In today's Internet age, it is harder than ever to lie about military service.

But that doesn't seem to be stopping some folks who continue to exaggerate or create tales of their service.

One of the latest stories involves a Democratic candidate for the U.S. House in Mississippi...."

Nice story to start the day.

Dickey worked out pretty good. The MS Dem party publically pulled support for him in a statement published by a state wide newspaper. His financial records were investigated and finally he was fired from his job due to false education claims he made on his resume....

That is a nice story, he is going to be paying for those lies a long time. I am glad the dems finally pulled the plug on his support.

As Ronald Reagan was found of saying, in Russian:

Doveryai no proveryai

(Trust, but verify)

That should be the motto of every reporter. If the subject of an interview made the claim to be a Nobel Prize winner, or an Olympic Medalist, that claim shold be checked and verified prior to publishing. Same for "I was an Airborne Ranger Green Beret etc. etc.".

But will the fact that the internet and computerized records has made it impossible to advance false claims slow down posers? I think not. Those sealed records, classified operations, and black operations are lost to the world wide interweb. Just like IRS emails.

He owes his demise to none other than: SNAQUEBITE! He is the man who exposed him. Snaquebite was the one who put the statewide paper mentioned in above post on his ass. Take a bow, Snaque!
