My girlfriend has a 2006 VW Jetta, the problem, is that the key can't be put into the ignition. It looks as if there is a metal pin that is blocking its path.
Did a google search and tried putting some WD-40 in the ignition to see if that would help but no luck so far.
If anybody had any other suggestions or insight I would greatly appreciate it.
Could be a stuck pin. Try getting something thin in there and work the pins up and down on both sides and see if that frees it up. WD40 is a NO NO for keyways. Graphite is the way to go for keyways.
Also try turning the steering wheel to the left and right while inserting the key and make sure it is in park.
