Sorry but it's not really a joke..... and it's been done many times before.
Guess who helped train the Afghanistan mujahideen, none other than US Army Special Forces. And it's the same Afghan mujahideen that are now trying to kill them.
And guess who trained the mexicans advanced sniper training? the same mexicans that have been killing our US Border Patrol personnel, US Army Special Forces, thanks to slick willy (the impeached bill clinton)
And guess who trained the Thai special operations? US Army Special Forces.
It's not a joke and we need to stop training everyone in the world in the use of lethal force.

Yes it's true but anyone that uses it as a reason not to teach other nation is wrong IMO.
One thing I will say that USASFC/USASOC has failed at is setting standards on POI for teaching Foriegn Army's. We have almost nothing that is vetted through the foreign disclosure office. Yet we we have Centers of Excellence and Maneuver centers that have courses POI, for foreign officers and NCOs coming here to gain military education.
My reason for this is, we have conventional out training, we have different groups out. I had brought this up to USASOC FDO in 2009. If the Group set the POI for say, SUT, MFF, AMOUT, Mountain, SCUBA, MOBILITY, ETC. and each Group is different in its own way we would be able to see the cross pollenization of training events and TTP's. See SWC DOTD should be apart of this process too. We would be able to see within different extremist organizations the training indicators being sent elsewhere. We have guys teach TTP to HN Forces that should not be teaching. Yet I guess we didn't learn after finding certain training/doctoral items in Iraq in the hands of the enemy. For me this is what matters. They will always be people training to kill us or our fellow Americans. If it's not us teaching them to gain there "friendship," it will be the Chinesse, Russians or Iran filling in.

There you are, trying to make sense stop that...... This is an old issue. I have refused to teach some things and as a TS reviewed all training material and always had to make changes to remove items I thought should not be taught to the unit....

Just because we teach them everything that they know, does not mean that we teach them everything that we know.
I have rarely seen a HN unit that could compete with the ODA training with them.

Haha.. True it is an old issue which we will likely never fix.
One sad thing or better reason for not "Standardizing" POIs by Group and posting them on some web based portal is that Teams would not get the experience in developing POIs or lesson plans for CNT/JECT. Well sorry to break it to those upper level leaders. You're full of it, most ODAs just ask for some other ODA that did the mission last time or year to get their Concept and lesson plans. So for me, setting Standard POIs to be taught overseas so we can do many different thing through this.
