Monday Night Football

Seattle 34 New Orleans 7

First NFL game I attended in about five years and what a game! I grew up going to Saints games but I've been in the Pacific Northwest for a long time and had my 12th Man jersey. No split loyalties tonight. Sure, we broke the stadium noise record again (won't be able to talk tomorrow), but we also caused a minor earthquake. Again.

Jumping fans register a magnitude 1 or 2 quake during Seahawks TD fumble return

Seahawks fans jumping up and down during Monday night’s 22-yard Michael Bennett fumble return for a touchdown registered about a magnitude 1 or 2 earthquake.

The University of Washington has a seismometer in a warehouse about a block south of CenturyLink Field, says earth and space sciences professor John Vidale.

The earthquake-like vibration can be seen in the blue wave in this graphic.

The same seismometer captured Marshawn Lynch’s “Beast Quake” on Jan. 8, 2011, when he rumbled for a 67-yard touchdown run that clinched a 41-36 playoff victory over the New Orleans Saints.

I thought it would be a closer game. You could really tell that the crowd was effecting the Saints Offensive line and play calling. I can believe that they registered a earthquake last night.

I have a feeling that the Denver Broncos will be seeing Seattle on February 2nd.

Too bad the Hawks won't be walking away with a "W" from that game.

Denver can have W, the other consonants...hell the entire alphabet. We'll be happy with the Lombardi trophy.

But first we have to win two more to get home field advantage and then take care of some playoff business.
