Top DC Repubs Sent Oppo Research to Hammer Cruz

SOP for some of these clowns...

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Governm...to-Hammer-Cruz

On Sunday, Chris Wallace, the host of Fox News Sunday, said that Republicans in Washington were savaging Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) behind Cruz's back before Cruz's appearance on the program to discuss defunding Obamacare.

In an appearance on Washington D.C.'s Fox 5 to preview his Sunday show, Wallace said, "I will tell you I have never in my time in Washington seen a party so upset with one of its own members."

He said he had been flooded with opposition research on Cruz--from Republicans. Later on Fox News Sunday, Wallace said these "top Republicans" gave him "unsolicited research and questions" to "hammer" Cruz.

"Since we announced that Ted Cruz was going to be on the show, I've been getting background research and questions going after Cruz not from Democrats but from other Republicans," Wallace said on Fox 5. "They really feel he has put them in this corner that they can't get out of gracefully and they're not very happy with him."

In an exclusive op-ed for Breitbart News on Saturday, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who has also been savaged by establishment Republicans, urged Cruz to stay strong in the face of inevitable attacks from fellow Republicans and suggested they compare "shiv marks" the next time they meet:

"We’re now, once again, subjected to the “anonymous sources” backstabbing game. The Capitol Hill cowards are rushing to anonymously denounce Senator Cruz to any reporter with a pad and pen.

Welcome to our world, Ted. The same people have been denouncing conservatives like me for years (right after they ask for help fundraising for themselves or endorsing the latest candidate they’ve suckered into paying their exorbitant consulting fees). We can compare shiv marks next time we meet, my friend."

I'm glad Wallace mentioned that; stark light needs to be shined on more of those dead elephants. Watched "Reverend Harry" in the Senate this AM for a bit as he proceeded to read his top-fed sermon on how the R's are going to shut the govt down, the cliff everyone will be taken over, characterized the TP as radicals and extremists - the only ones immune were "reasonable Republicans who agree with him (sound familiar?) - and asked unanimous consent to proceed with some motion to go directly to some judicial appointments, as well as not having any debate RE the house budget measure.

Reid was asked if he would yield by the Pro Tem, because Cruz DID have an objection. Reid ignored him - presumably because he can. Cruz objected again, Reid said he'd be happy to "discuss" with Cruz his concerns, then continued on his blathering streak. Cruz continued the objection and called for the clerk to call the roll. He we go kids. Again.

Reid sounds like a male version of madwoman Nancy Pelosi. Some examples:

“So, Mr. President, the reviews are in and they’re universal. The ransom demanded by Republicans is unworkable and unrealistic,” he said. “President Obama has been clear, and I’ve been clear. Any bill that defunds [Obamacare] is dead on arrival in the Senate. The Affordable Care Act has been the law of the land for four years now. Democrats are willing to work with reasonable Republicans to improve this law, but we will now understand that there is an anarchy movement that’s afoot.”

No, not an "anarchy" movement, you idiot. Merely an anti-statist movement.
Now watch all of the lame scream media "talking heads" start calling all Tea Party members/supporters "anarchists". Sounds like desperation from the left.

I'm ok with that.

It is interesting to watch the language used by some politicians - "Affordable Care Act" vs. "Obamacare" - and I saw Reid twice have to backup and correct himself, "this is settled, Obama is the law of the land, er, Obamacare is the law of the land."

So yeah, the current meme from Valerie is clear; more demonization, a repeat card out of a well-worn deck.

I really believe the Senate believes itself above reproach on both sides.

I am tired of the status quo.
