Euclid boy adopts Special Forces unit in Afghanistan
http://www.cleveland.com/metro/index...cial_forc.html
Local boy raises cash for care packages for his cousins ODA in AFG.
Mikey, the supply NCO, is 13, and will enter eighth grade next month at St. Francis of Assisi School in Gates Mills. One of the soldiers nearly 7,000 miles away is Sgt. 1st Class Scott McHugh, his cousin, a medic on his third deployment to Afghanistan.

Great way to giveback. It would be great if the school could make it into a monthly project and get more students involved.

I live in a very small community. We have about 40 high school graduates a year and about 2500 kids in school in the county. The elementary school here has been doing care packages for troops over there for two years now. The folks that are deployed even send packages and letters back to them here. It warms my heart when the teachers bring them to my office to send off.
