North Korea vows nuclear attack on US; Washington will be 'engulfed in a sea of fire'

I'm not sure how to take this......

North Korea vows nuclear attack on US, saying Washington will be 'engulfed in a sea of fire'
Published March 07, 2013

FoxNews.com

North Korea amplified its threatening rhetoric as the U.N. Security Council approved new sweeping sanctions, vowing to launch a first-strike nuclear attack against the United States and threatening to engulf Washington in a "sea of fire."

An unidentified spokesman for Pyongyang's Foreign Ministry said the North will exercise its right for "a preemptive nuclear attack to destroy the strongholds of the aggressors" because Washington is pushing to start a nuclear war against the North.

At a mass rally in Pyongyang on Thursday, Army Gen. Kang Pyo Yong told the crowd that North Korea is ready to fire long-range nuclear-armed missiles at Washington.

"Intercontinental ballistic missiles and various other missiles, which have already set their striking targets, are now armed with lighter, smaller and diversified nuclear warheads and are placed on a standby status," Kang said. "When we shell (the missiles), Washington, which is the stronghold of evils, .... will be engulfed in a sea of fire."

I doubt they have the ability for an intercontinental strike. Maybe they could get with Iran and have their space monkey drop one.
Just shows what a lunatic screwball government is in charge. Hard to say if this shit is coming from Kin Jung Loon or his handlers.
An attack on the South is always a possibility, but given their economic woes, even the die hard Northerners must realize that would be suicide.

Nuclear Kabuki theatre.

If I were South Korean I think I'd fear the following voicemail message at the Blue House the most:

"Herro! We've wetired to Zimbabwe. We weft the keys at the DMZ. Good wuck."

Although I think nuclear asymmetric stupidity ranks a close second.

When, not if, NK implodes...the price tag to bring them into the early 20th century is going to make the cost of West Germany bringing East Germany into the 1980's is going to look quite cheap by comparison.

If I were South Korea, I'd be looking to double the razor wire and mines on the DMZ to stop the zombie hordes flooding south.

Maybe he's just on the receiving end of some post-partum depression.

Just send over Jimmy Carter, and a couple C-130's full of Ramen noodles. That should shut them up for a while.

Personally, I'm going to miss the Smithsonian. On the bright side I doubt South Korea will mind being an island nation. And over the years Japan seems to have weathered the last bout of fallout better than Detroit has an equal period of Democrat leadership (sorry - didn't mean to use the oxymoron that blatantly ).

A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.
