The knives are just coming out of minus 320 degrees F step in heat treat cycle.
Might be a little cool to the touch when pic was taken.

These are made from CPM S-35VN steel,
they have been hardened (1975 F austenitizing temp) , cooled to room temp then placed in liquid nitrogen to complete the transformation into the desired molecular phase.
This is followed by a couple careful temper cycles before the next steps.

This is a Spartan Harsey project.
