Obama Says Washington Feels as Broken as it Did Four Years Ago (When he took office.)

If you were POTUS, would you say something as outright stupid as this? Say you left a command in worse shape than when you took it; would you blame others, or yourself? I think this inane example of self-piteous whining typifies this man's performance.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012...d-4-years-ago/

President Barack Obama says Washington "feels as broken as it did four years ago," when he took office.

He's most frustrated by the inability "to change the atmosphere" in the capital "to reflect the decency and common sense of ordinary people" who want leaders to solve problems.

He adds "there's enough blame to go around for that."

Obama tells CBS' "Sunday Morning" that there's no doubt that he underestimated how much "politics trump problem-solving."

That's exactly what it is...the admission of failure on the part of anybody but himself regarding his own deficiencies. Typical lib bullshit.

Yesterday in the library...

I must have misread Bush the Younger's comments in Decision Points about the poisonous political climate in the Beltway and his unsuccessful efforts to change the tone of political debate.

Then I must have misread the copies of SecDef Weinberger's speeches at the Reagan Library as well as SecNav Lehman's correspondence in operational archives at the Naval Historical Center. And, for that matter, Craig Shirley must have gotten his analysis of the New Right wrong.

1. Bush said it 2 years out of office.

2. Bush was sincere.

What is the "it" to which you're referring?

ETA. I'm going to conclude provisionally that "it" applies to Bush the Younger's concern about the political environment inside the Beltway. And, in reply...

<<The President's News Conference, April 29, 2008>> and for the remix, <<LINK2>>.

Sig, you must have a photo of Obama in a locket next to your heart the way you defend him.

Maybe - that he throws darts at.

He keeps saying how Mittens should "FOCUS" his message but nobody is listening.

Maybe because Mittens has high priced campaign guys who "know better". Maybe the same guys who worked for McLame.

Not just Romney, but also other candidates from the GOP, and, most of all, we who are going to vote for them in November.

There's a saying in basketball that a mad player is a bad player. IMO, this saying is equally applicable to politics. For the past three years, we've spent too much time being mad and getting madder. If we don't figure things out and try something else, we're going to be gnashing our teeth and ranting "How did this guy beat us -- again!?!" If we don't figure things out and try something else, the answer will be the same as it was in 2008. We were more interested in being pissed off than in winning.

My $0.02.

There is another saying in basketball: "If the player misses the shot, fire the player. If the team misses the shot, fire the coach."

President Obama is admitting he didn't and can't get the job done. I am not mad at him, I wish him no ill will. I would simply like to see him go.
