The first openly gay homecoming kiss for US Navy
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...p-returns.html
Seems like the repeal of DADT policy has affected one of the military's oldest traditions.
Skipper said the crew's reaction to the raffle for the first kiss was positive.
A RAFFLE?

The "Raffle" as you seem confused about, is something the Navy has done for a long time.
That, is nothing new.

Sir, given the fact that I'm new here, I volunteer to do the leg work. Plus, I work for the navy, I'm already used to dealing with squids.

That's what I thought.
Side benefit is that the Captain doesn't have to worry about whether she will be pregnant when its time to ship out again.

Oh well, if the military ends up shattered by the current chain of events I'll just recycle myself somewhere else...
Hopefully it won't, I only have the last 35 years to go before I can retire...
