New BP barrel

I need to replace the full-octagon barrel on an original Remington Creedmoor rifle. Probably go from 44 to 45 caliber but it needs to have the same profile and dimensions. Since Badger has been sold I am not sure where to go. Anyone have a lead for a custom makeer that may take on the project?

You might try Dan Lilja for the barrel. Threading, chambering etc would be by someone else. He makes very good barrels.

Here's another source. Not a Lilja but might prove as serviceable for BP at far less price.

For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. GM Barrels

Since Badger is gone GM was my next choice but delivery seems to be especially slow. Spoke to McGowen and they said they can deliver in 6-8 weeks for about $400. Anyone used a McGowen before?
