Post My case against Kerry

Folks: I really get tired of the slime throwing/name calling/obscenity throwing tactics of both sides. These tactics lend no credance to an argument and in fact detract from it. They belong in the play ground. That said I will never vote for Kerry.

1. He volunteered for combat duty and wimped out after a few boo boos. He deserted his combat "buddies" for his own safety. Those of you in any voluntary profession know that in the words of Mr. Daffy Duck: "A quiter is a dispicable creature." He changes course with every variance in the tide. Is this what we want as a leader -- someone who will quit at the first sign of adversity? Bush. on the other hand may have occasionally ered butyhe held the course honorably and steadfastly. He has shown what he is made of.

2. He trashed his fellow soldiers and veterans. If he were truly against the war he should have attacked the war and its backers, not the warriors who were fighting honorably for him and their country. AFTER LEAVING the service.

Frankly I have had some reservations about our involvement in Indo-China. I feel we supported our "Allies" the French when asked for help from the Viet Minh. But, that is something I keep to myself and certainly not for a public forum.

I wear an SF ballcap w/VVA Kerry pin. People stop me and ask questions and I reply with my own question: "Can you name one single decision or proposal that Kerry has made and stood by for a full four years? Is that what you want from a president? A quiter and waffler?
