Thailand and Cambodia Renew Historic Hostilities

http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/142188

".........When the French colonized Cambodia in the 19th century, they were only too happy to promote Cambodian nostalgia and play the protector of national sentiment against neighboring, independent Thailand. That border area is just below our old camp and was always a point of conflict - we had Cambodia, NPD and Pitts had Laos, Lampang had Burma - we used to OpCon with RTA 7th Inf and BPP units when they ran 'training' ops along there on an on-going basis - as a point of order, all of Thailand's borders have always been on-going flash points. Some things don't change much.

My money is on the Thais.

Interesting.

I understand that historically the Cambodians and Vietnamese have experienced their share of animosity also.
