He is also quoted as saying he wants to cut waste but not benefits...I would quote the story...but it was from a A***times article and their a bit hostile towards quoting their material.

This is the same guy that wore his son's combat boots while campaigning. Regardless of what he did in his own service, when he tried to cash in on his son's service for his own benefit, I lost just about any respect I could have for him.

All of these people running for political office. No matter what party are so terribly bad these days. I don't think it's fixable.
This O'Donnell lady running in MD looked like the idiot she is in a recent interview. The Radio show that interviewed her put the interview up on their Web page. So now she is suing the Radio Station for posting an interview she agreed to do. Thats who I want in office. Someone who sues because things didn't go their way.

Aegisnavy--
I don't know that they have. The debates over the 600 ship fleet were often more about politics (domestic, institutional, service, personal, and electoral) than about military effectiveness.
