Indicators you are Terroist or Criminal Extremist

http://www.scribd.com/doc/36425924/I...-DOJ-2005-2009

Interesting to what and who is included in the DOJ guide to the Domestic EVIL that lurks.....Flags are interesting! One high note the The New Black Panther Party for Self Defense is included. On the down side ACORN, SPLC, ADL, Green Peace, Code Pink, SEIU and Flag Burners and Flag burning is not included as EVIL.

FWIW - this is not a "DOJ Guide" - it is a document produced under a grant to:

It also says:

This project was supported by Grant No. 2007-NC-BX-K002 awarded by the Bureau of Justice Assistance. The Bureau of Justice Assistance is a component of the Office of Justice Programs, which also includes the Bureau of Justice Statistics, the National Institute of Justice, the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, and the Office for Victims of Crime. Points of view or opinions in this document are those of the author and do not represent the official position or policies of the US Department of Justice.

Nice attention to detail Sir! You have a eye for the fine print.

With that in mind....why fund it, if they are not going to use it

A wide variety of things get funded under the auspices of government and non-profit grants - some prove useful; many do not.

It allowed the POTUS to knock down the un-employment numbers by 10K

The "Copyright" and "Grant No." for this document would indicate an initial FY2005 and supplemental FY2007 awarding by the DOJ under the administration which was in existence during those years.

And so it goes...

And there ware those who said GWB was "just phoning in" the last few years. Maybe he anticipated a spike in unemployment.

Might be the reason the New Black Panther's were included in this edition

Seriously though, this has sparked my interest in what these organizations do, why they do it and why the Fed's sponsor them, yet do not endorse these entities and the product is not used for official purposes.

Maybe propaganda

MOO, the relatively standard disclaimer can limit potential blow-back - it creates "plausible deniabilty" - you never know what you're going to get or what someone is going to come up with - on any given project.

At the agency level, it is not uncommon for an issue to be briefed internally, but the report be held in draft form only...just in case - "...it's just a draft."

Disclaimers, the use of drafts, etc., etc., are considered realtively standard tools for agency heads to potentially distance themselves from some "unusual" ideas that staff (who the agency head has probably never met) can come up with on occasion. It's just an accepted (and necessary) part of the game.

I think you nailed with the last two word the GAME.

I am thinking that work environment might require a ready supply of antacid.
