Japan's ocean radiation hits 7.5 million times legal limit

Japan's ocean radiation hits 7.5 million times legal limit

http://www.latimes.com/news/nationwo...,2697428.story

"Reporting from Tokyo—
The operator of Japan's stricken Fukushima nuclear plant said Tuesday that it had found radioactive iodine at 7.5 million times the legal limit in a seawater sample taken near the facility, and government officials imposed a new health limit for radioactivity in fish..............."

While tragic - somehow Gorjira pops into my mind.

Strangely enough I had that same thought this morning. But are you talking the monster or the band?

I heard some people at work talking in terrified tones about how all the fish are going to be radioactive soon... while they were standing around a microwave taking turns heating up their food.

I was also reminded of the Simpson's episode when they caught Blinky, and some classic Far Side....about size restrictions screwing the limit.

Some fish from west coast of the United States (and Canada?) do go all the way to Japan's waters and back. This would be the Steelhead.

Don't get me wrong, I'm certain we're going to see the reprecussions of this event for years. I wouldn't want to eat anything caught on that side of the planet without some serious testing.

In a perfect world, you would be right. I however might get hit by a bus tomorrow or die from the big "C". More and more of my family and friends are being dianosed with what seems like an epidemic. I could also be shot by the bone heads hunting near our property while doing the simple act of fixing fence.

Have anyone died from direct action of the radiation?
