I'm curious how the Europeans, especially from the Alps countries, are so unbeatable for the Americans.

European Biathletes

It's the pool of talent they can choose from. There may only be a few thousand biathelets in the US but biathlons in Europe are one of the most popular televised winter sports. Millions of people will watch a big race and kids actually want to grow up and be biathletes.

There are lugers from the AF in this Olympics. If I remember correctly a two man team, a female on a two person team, and another guy on a four man team. They just had a big write up about them, and the Biathelete in the latest AF Times.

Agree. Very few things in life approach the beauty of a good match rifle. Very few things…

Here's a good site for the biathlon info at the games, better than the NBC one. I've seen that calendar by the way. It's very nice.

Curling. Seriously. It's so not a sport.

Ok, I could do a freaking biathalon. Sign me up. Do you think one of those ladies might teach me how to cross-country ski?

Best of luck to all of our athletes.

Pretty cool to Soldiers representing the US in the Olympics.

This is the only winter Olympic sport I care about and I don't think NBC is going to broadcast it.

Seeing as how Biathalon was originaly a military sport, military rifles should be required for competition.

More of a sport then figure skating and nordic combine.

I need to date one of those female curling sweepers..... I bet she could clean my house like a demon.

I’d rather watch curling than this wall-to-wall in-studio talking personalities coverage that NBC is putting up in the place of actual Olympic events. They’re repeating a profile piece in which a US Women’s hockey player gets a bucket full of cookies.
Biathlon is getting little mention. Magdelena Neuner missed gold in the 7.5 km Sprint by 1.5 seconds.
