2008 10th Special Forces Cook Books

2008 10th Special Forces Cook Books

The 2008 10th Special Forces Cook Books are in. Chapter IV/XXIV and the Group Family Readiness Group (FRG) got together to continue an old SF tradition and produced a cook book with recipes from across the AOR, we even got one from the former First Lady Barbra Bush. These books are on sale for $12 plus $2 for shipping.

If interested please send me an e-mail at Dbenn35649@aol.com 50% of the proceeds will go directly to the FRG in support of 10th Group Soldiers and their families.

Note: I'm not selling or taking orders for these books. Order the books Via the e-mail address in the post.

Trip Wire, Don't know how I missed this post, But how long has this tradition existed? Also is there a library or collection of these cook books at 10th Grp HQ, or held by an Association of 10th Grp members, present or past?:

to continue an old SF tradition and produced a cook book with recipes from across the AOR.

Ask the guy in at the e-mail address, he should be able to answer all your questions.

We had them in 3/7 in the late '70s. Great recipes.

Depending on the year and which unit several have done cook books. Not all SF units may have them.

I have one from 3/7 SFG, 7th SFG, 3rd SFG, 5th SFG, soon to have 10th SFG and I have one that was sold at the SWC in the gift shop. I think it was a mixture of different AOR's.

The nice thing has been that they have Recipes for where we operate so you get a taste or your AOR. I have seen several from 10th over the years. You know those guys for a long time lived in Hostals on Ski's and eating great German food. I grew up on that type of food.

SF BHT, Is it possible to copy them? If so, I'll cover the cost, If not you could send them to me and I'll have someone transcribe them. I'll return them...
