nobody remembers Obama at Columbia?

apparently this passed the Snopes test...

NOBODY REMEMBERS OBAMA AT COLUMBIA !!!!!!!

Posted on Friday, November 20, 2009 12:18:13 PM

Looking for evidence of Obama's past, Fox News contacted 400 Columbia University students from the period when Obama claims to have been there, but none remembered him.

Wayne Allyn Root was, like Obama, a political science major at Columbia who also graduated in 1983. In 2008, Root says of Obama, "I don't know a single person at Columbia that knew him, and they all know me.

I don't have a classmate who ever knew Barack Obama at Columbia . Ever! Nobody recalls him. I'm not exaggerating, I'm not kidding." Root adds that he was also, like Obama, "Class of '83 political science, pre-law" and says, "You don't get more exact or closer than that. Never met him in my life, don't know anyone who ever met him. At the class reunion, our 20th reunion five years ago, who was asked to be the speaker of the class? Me.

No one ever heard of Barack! And five years ago, nobody even knew who he was. The guy who writes the class notes, who's kind of the, as we say in New York, the macha who knows everybody, has yet to find a person, a human who ever met him. Is that not strange?

It's very strange." Obama's photograph does not appear in the school's yearbook and Obama consistently declines requests to talk about his years at Columbia , provide school records, or provide the name of any former classmates or friends while at Columbia . http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wayne_A...oot#column-one

NOTE: Root graduated as Valedictorian from his high school, Thornton-Donovan School , then graduated from Columbia University in 1983 as a Political Science major (in the same class as President Barack Obama WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE BEEN IN).

Can it be that BHO is a complete fraud?? More intrigue concerning "The Man who wasn't there”.

It seems like it would be pretty easy to just look in Columbia's records.

YGBSM!

There are no pics of me at Indiana University and I went there for 2 years for an MA program prior to embassy duty.

Columbia University has it's own version of a wiki* - here's the link to their article on BHO.

http://www.wikicu.com/Obama

And so it goes on Planet 51...

What do you think the odds are on that? Root can probably get you a line.

My wife has relatives that went to Columbia and Harvard around the same time frame. They don't remember him either! I am going out on a limb here........Columbia probably had more than 20 students and a one room school house in the 1980's.

LMAO!

Hmmmmm

Anyone watch the sitcom Community? Art imitating reality?

Taken from the pilot of a new sitcom

Quote:
Jeff: The state bar discovered that my degree wasn't quite bonafide.
The Dean: I thought you had a degree from Columbia.
Jeff: Yes, and now I need to get one from America.

A guy on another forum I'm on remembers meeting him once while in school (at columbia). guy states that his memory was fuzzy, as it was at a party... guy vaguely recalls a young *bama that was shunned at the party for his "getting back at the white man" rants.

The forum this guy is on is a pretty tight nit community, and, like this one, doesn't tolerate people misrepresenting who they are... take it for what it's worth, I guess.

For quick reference, THIS is the article Obama wrote for the paper, mentioned in the wiki.

I would also like to point out an interesting element to the whole story - The Pakistani friend who taught him to cook curry while he was at Columbia (see wiki). Look at the changes they say took place while he was there -

Went from being a drug user to being clean. Began pursuing physical fitness. Withdrew from the world around him.

Maybe trying to connect to his Fathers roots? No smoking gun, but if I had a friend of the same background as him, at the same stage in life (at University), I would be watching very closely for any signs of radicalism seeping into his discussions on politics, religion, culture, etc, given the other changes that were obvious. Not drawing any conclusions here... I'm just sayin'.
