Police: California Mom Kills Son, Critically Wounds Another

LOS ANGELES — A woman shot her two young sons Saturday, killing a 5-year-old boy and critically wounding his 1-year-old brother, police said.
The woman called 911 about 8:30 a.m. and told a dispatcher that she had killed her children, Los Angeles police Officer Norma Eisenman said.
When police arrived at the apartment complex in South Los Angeles, the woman, believed to be in her mid-20s, was standing on a second-floor balcony waving a handgun and telling officers to shoot her.
The woman shouted, "I've wasted my life," neighbors told the Los Angeles Times.
Officers ordered her numerous time to drop the gun, but she refused. At one point she climbed onto the balcony rail and stood on it, as if preparing to jump, police said.
When she eventually put the gun down on the balcony floor, officers quickly tackled and arrested her, police said.
Investigators had not confirmed her identity Saturday afternoon, Eisenman said.
The 5-year-old was declared dead at the scene. The younger boy was shot multiple times and was hospitalized in critical condition.

Wasted life.
Sad. Very sad. Sad she didn't put the gun in her own mouth and leave the boys alone.

Does it really matter?
Hell it is California, so the probability that he didn't have custody shouldn't be a question.
Where was he? God knows he's in hell right now himself...............

Knowing California - either incarcerated or busy becoming a "babydaddy" for some other young girl.
Any other men out there frustrated that this is our representation (or lack-thereof)?

A similar incident happened here a few years ago.
Large college town.
Kids about 9 and 10.
One stabbed to death, one survived.
Both parents were practicing physicians and highly regarded.
The woman had a total psychotic breakdown.
I think she's still in a rubber room.
Insanity happens.

She will get far less punishment than a father who did that.
I agree, she should have started by killing herself.
What a waste.

Somehow, the young always pay the price for choices adults make. Thankfully the price paid by children is generally not as bad as in this case; however, there are other degrees of abuse and pain.
Rest In Peace child!!
Prayers out for those that this awful event has touched!!

G-d takes the innocent home. Those children suffer no more. She deserves nothing less than a session being torn apart by a lion.

Locally in the last year there have been several incidents involving murdered children.
A father who drowned his three children in a hotel bathtub was sentenced recently to 3 life terms
A father who threw his 3 year old son off of a bridge is being evaluated concerning his mental state.
A women was found with the remains of her two adopted daughters in a basement freezer....
and there have been others recently....
Signs of the times...
