Bombing The Moon!
it seems, in the name of science, we are going to bomb the moon. We are spending millions of dollars to shoot a missile into the moon to see what happens. Seems to me if we really want to bomb something we could bomb the Taliban, bomb Al-Qada, hell....even bomb IRAN, but nooooo....we're going to bomb the moon!

Kind of like when NASA crashed that missile into the Asteroid at a Bazillion miles per hour. They never said anything about it until after the fact. Their response"the Earth was never put in any danger" How the Fu#$% do they know that. How much experience do they have crashing missiles into Asteroids.

You really think we should try and drop that space probe on Iran?

No,.....you missed the point. There are better things that money and time could be used for than looking for water on the moon.

My concern is how can they be certain that an impact of something like this won't change the orbit of the Moon, it's axis, or something catastrophic absolutely WONT happen? How many times has it been stressed how much the Earth is affected by the Moon such as tides, animal behavior etc. When was the last time they viewed any asteroid impacts and studied it's effects? Dumb ass move "in the name of science" if you ask me. Just don't spend my tax dollars on it NASA.

Rush made a good point today: Shouldn't we try sanctions before bombing.

At 0730 hrs a missile made contact with the moons surface with a second one following approximately 3 minutes later. As of 0815 there has been no response from the moon, extent of damage and casualties is unknown, although a full surrender is expected. NASA is not expected to request the insertion of troops at this time, though the option remains on the table.
Moral of this story.....If you shine......we will shoot you!

Are there. I would rather see Tax money spent in the name of Science then in the name of ACORN.
Just in. France has surrendered to the Moon.

Let me preface this by stating that I believe that some of the things that are done by NASA are a waste of money...but then again Government is in the business of spending other people's money and not making a profit. I'm going to guess this was cheaper than sending a guy with a shovel.
Water (H20) + electrolysis = Fuel for fuel cells (or other "propulsion" units).
How much and how to do it...dunno. That's for the guys with the 500-pound heads (with an armload of tax dollars).
