Three Amigos
Interesting headline for an international news agency…Are they referencing National Leaders to clowns, comics and actors? Or, have I become cynical and suspicious?

Based on the movie plot line I think it may be fitting...
"Three out of work silent movie actors are accidentally drawn to a Mexican village that is being harassed by a gang of outlaws. The three, 'Ned', 'Lucky Day' and 'Dusty Bottoms' play 'Lone Ranger' types in their movies, but must play their parts for real now.
Now, all hopes of the village folks rest on the weak shoulders of three minor-talented actors, who can't just walk off the set this time. "

The English language will some day deteriorate into nothing but abbreviations, nicknames and catch phrases.
Dude, r u watching the 3 Amigos on CNN? OMG!
It was better than that J-lo special on MTV.

The national leaders are certainly actors - unless one supposes they believe every word they tell is is the truth.

But are any of us cynical and suspicious enough?

No, we didn't really expect him to damage his voter base.

At Mexico summit, Obama says immigration reform will have to wait
The president, noting he has 'a pretty big stack of bills' to deal with, says pushing through a bill to overhaul immigration is unlikely before 2010.
By Peter Nicholas and Tracy Wilkinson
August 11, 2009
Reporting from Guadalajara, Mexico -- Locked in a healthcare debate that is claiming much of his energy, President Obama acknowledged that a push to overhaul the nation's immigration system will have to wait until 2010 and even then will prove a major political test.
Obama suggested it would be too ambitious to aim for passage of new immigration laws before the end of the year, at a time when he will be confronting "a pretty big stack of bills."
Speaking at the end of a two-day summit meeting of fellow North American leaders, Obama said, "Now, I've got a lot on my plate, and it's very important for us to sequence these big initiatives in a way where they don't all just crash at the same time."....

I'm thinking they were just trying to be clever and witty...and it didn't quite go over as well as they'd hoped for - sure been there with that one myself.

Nope. The media chose this theme because Obama and Calderon persuaded Stephan Harper to make Spenish the third official language of Canada.
MSNBC asks:
http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/archi...0/2025112.aspx
OBAMA AGENDA: A PLETHORA OF PINATAS?
.................................................. .................................................. .........................
Obama: I have put many beautiful pinatas in the storeroom, each of them filled with little suprises.
Calderon: Many pinatas?
Obama: Oh yes, many!
Calderon: Would you say I have a plethora of pinatas?
Obama: A what?
Calderon: A *plethora*.
Obama: Oh yes, you have a plethora.
Calderon: Jefe, what is a plethora?
Obama: Why, El Guapo?
Calderon: Well, you told me I have a plethora. And I just would like to know if you know what a plethora is. I would not like to think that a person would tell someone he has a plethora, and then find out that that person has *no idea* what it means to have a plethora.
Obama: Forgive me, El Guapo. I know that I, Jefe, do not have your superior intellect and education. But could it be that once again, you are angry at something else, and are looking to take it out on me?
