Frank Dux (true or false)
I came across this during some random researching and had to be a skeptic. Getting a movie deal is one thing, but claiming to be a former covert operative for the government and training government personnel is another? The whole deal sounded a little off to me but I'll ask you gentlemen. Have any of you ever heard of this guy minus Bloodsport or ever trained with him. If so, was it worth while or a complete waste of time.

Frank Dux is a wannabe of the worst sort. He is profiled in Jug Burkett's book, Stolen Valor, pp 411-417. Dux served on active duty in the USMC 15 Jun - 23 Oct 75, and then USMCR until 1981. He was referred for a psych eval for his prediliction for telling tall tales - that he was working for an intelligence agency.

RF1,
That should've been a PM conversation betwixt you and TD - I'm pretty sure it's neither germaine to this thread nor of much interest to anyone but y'all.

Jeese! Don't be such a cynic. Of course it's probably true. Remember the Game Show Covers used by Chuck Barris? Who would suspect him? From thestreetbuzz.com
"Chuck Barris in 1982 published an autobiography, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, which was made into a movie in 2004. Chuck Barris claims in his book that “Chuckie baby” (as Gong Show fans liked to call Barris), in addition to being a busy executive responsible at one point for 27 half hours of network TV a week, was a decorated CIA assassin. Barris writes that after chaperoning a winning couple from The Dating Game on their dream date in some foreign capital, he’d slip away, blow somebody’s brains out, and then head back to Los Angeles to contend with those A-holes at the network.

His military documents all appear fake to me, and while I am not an admin person, it would take a day to verify if it were real anyway. I think the guy is definitely full of it. Why is it that these nutjobs always want to open some "Dojo" and train in martial arts, further claiming some kind of superstar status of training "Special Forces, SEAL's, and police"? What a loser.

Yeah there is just something about wannabes/ never will be that always makes me laugh and a little angry. I don't know what it is about some of these people like Dux, Dr. Gyi, Leo Gaje, etc that think they can pass themselves off like supreme badasses. It is something that I have seen in the martial arts arena for a long time. But if any of you are up for a good read, you should check out Leo Giron. His story seems well documented and very inspiring.

These people invariably have inferiority complexes and other psych problems. All are con men. The real persistent ones are simply bug nuts.
