Gitmo Detainee Dies of 'Apparent Suicide'
We could send a note and flowers to ol' Muhammad's family telling them we're sorry but the fish-eyed fool just went and them damn ol' hogs ate him.

Gitmo Detainee Dies of 'Apparent Suicide'
USA Today, 2 Jun 2009
U.S. military officials say a Yemeni detainee at Guantanamo Bay has died of an "apparent suicide."
The Joint Task Force that runs the U.S. prison in Cuba says guards found 31-year-old Muhammad Ahmad Abdallah Salih unresponsive and not breathing in his cell Monday night.
In a Tuesday statement, the military says the detainee was pronounced dead by a doctor after "extensive lifesaving measures had been exhausted."
The Yemeni prisoner, known as Al-Hanashi has been held without charge at Guantanamo since February 2002. Military records show he was about 31. His is the fourth apparent suicide at Guantanamo.
The U.S. military says the remains will be autopsied by a pathologist from the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology.

Guess that's one less visa we'll have to spend taxpayer's $$ processing.

I think that we should give them more PT opportunities by providing jump ropes in every cell.
Also, make sure that they have a couple of weeks worth of meds available at all times.
Maybe install bathtubs for them to sit in and relax while they make toast.

While we decide what to do with them, we could place them in a work release program offering them free cigarettes and an opportunity to get some exercise and fresh sea air by giving them a pair of swim fins and a bathing suit...and having them ferry old anchor chains from Gitmo to Key West for recycling.

Something else of interest: Southwestern, Pa. is full of vacated and abandoned vertical mine shafts. The average distance from pitmouth to retreat area is about 2000 feet.
These shafts need to be thoroughly inspected for safety sake. This would be a fine job for the detainees, "Mine Shaft Inspection Teams".
Ill leave to your imaginations just who should be in control of the lowering baskets for these teams.

Oh...How Sad! What a tragedy that the world has lost such a great upstanding individual!
