WTB: IOTV

Yeah I know probably not going to happen but heres the deal.

They issued me a XL Long telling me just adjust it and it will fit fine. Then after doing so and telling them it still felt too big; they tell me too late its mine now.
I wear a large IBA, never had an issue, but RFI said the IOTV ran small.. I feel like I'm wearing a midevil suit or armor, especially when they still had us with DAPS.

Anyway I've brought this up a few time and told basically the same thing tought shit, nothing we can do now.

So if anyone has a large carrier/soft armor; or knows a way that I can get my hands on a smaller vest I'd appreciate it.

I don't really go out at all here so its not a huge deal; would just like to have the piece of mind that -if I need it- my vest actually fits.
Would love to wear my RAV but yeah not with this unit...

Thanks guys...

Crash,

take this through your chain of command. Improper fitting body armor is a very valid complaint and can pose serious problems for the wearer not only from lessening or interferring with his mobility but improper ballistic coverage. I have seen this in many units and they just issue what is available. It's WRONG and can be corrected through channels in most cases. As a final resort I would consider the IG if you can not get assistance through your CoC. Let them know your intentions if you can't get the problem corrected.

*UPDATE* So I was told to just adjust my vest as small as it would go; and that it fit me the way it was made to. Oh well, found out they where exchanging out ESAPI's to people with the 'defective' lot number so I went down and showed them the corners of mine and walked a way with Brand new plates, win some loose some I guess.
