Profile of woman who 'groomed Iraqi female bombers'

Interesting article from the BBC on the woman who recruited female suicide bombers.

Here is one perhaps the most notable quote from the piece:
Quote:
In a separate interview with AP a week after her 21 January arrest, Jassim also described how insurgents used organised rape as a way of generating more bombers.
Her role was to persuade the traumatised victims that carrying out a suicide attack was their only way out.

I have seen this news posted in many places. I wonder when the womens rights organizations and the HollyWeird activists are going to be up in arms over this? Haven't heard a peep out of them...are they meetings or are they getting ready for the mission?

I've often wondered about the huge and obvious disconnect when those who ostensibly advocate women's rights vehemently decry America's presence in the Middle East without any mention of the lack of rights (from a Western perspective) women have in that region of the world.

I think this disconnect is a good example of the Bush Derangement Syndrome (if not also a little self loathing).
