A good laugh about a poser
Some may recall last year my posts regarding a poser, I read all the books suggested and gleaned as much information as I could from everywhere. My friend wouldn't read them wanted to stay in the fantasy.
So now he is back (after a year) and wants a plane ticket bought to come see my friend, says he will repay in cash because they (don't know who) doesn't want him to use credit cards etc, and oh yeah don't put it in the name I have told you is mine but this alias they (don't know who) have given me.
I think she finally woke up when I told her don't do it because it was going around the no-fly list and she would be breaking a FEDERAL law. As I explained to her why would he ask you to break the laws of th very country is pledged to defend?
Thinks she finally woke up!!!
Thanks to everyone for defending our great country and thanks to all advised me last year.

my thought also
That was my thought also BUT I am definately not posting it anywhere!!!
LESSON LEARNED from before
I think though his hole you buy the ticket cause I am not allowed to use credit cards for paper trail and the breaking the law pretty much tripped him up.
He gets to find another sucker now!!

get a date
She kept me around as a friend , even though I gave her all sorts of hell about this guy.
He is still trying to sniff around but he is somewhere up north "training" and she is ignoring him pretty much. It sure helped her ego though.. some young guy coming after mid 40's.
Thanks again for all you guys help getting me through. It helped comfirming my doubts with the professionals that know!!!
thanks again for all your service!!!

last ditch poser effort
UPDATE -- Over the weekend he called with a story about 3 months ago clearing a building and almost being knifed between the eyes by an insurgent.
AND also over this pass weekend him and his team took out 4 terrorist here on american soil that were supposedly targeting them.
My friend started believing again because his stories are so vivid and why would he lie?
Let me count the reasons!!!
I reminded her that SF Operators DO NOT TALK ABOUT IT!!!
I just wish she to go to a security briefing like I did when I was a contractor for the Air Force she might understand better. She thinks I don't know anything about SF security and neither does her dad the retired full bird colonel!!
Thanks again all for your support!!

found him online finally
Did a search using his "alias" and it looks like it may be his real name.
His linkdin information says he did a 4 year stint in the army as a watercraft operations specialist.
Then did a couple of QA jobs and now his current job matches what he has told me friend is his part-time job.
So now all I have to do is blow the friendship up and show her this!! Maybe one day she will forgive me.
Thank you all for your support and your sacrifice!!!

MOS 18D
So over the weekend this "Marty" told my friend he was an E7 (been in 15 years) and his MOS was 18D and once we looked it up. She said that's funny in all his conversations with me he has NEVER talked about taking care of medical suppplies or dressing wounds etc.
I just smiled cause she is finally catching on.
AND would any of you guys send a picture of your RED Mazda RX8 to someone and show them your license plates? Talk about an easy trace.
Thanks again guys for all your support.

Jokes on me -- She bought ticket anyways
After everything she decided to get the ticket yesterday -- pitcures of the 6 pack got her! lol..
But it ticked me off enough -- I did something that was stupid but heat of the moment etc.. I want to prove if he is or is not Special Forces -- we already know he is not a quiet professional cause he will tell anyone who will listen he is Delta Force etc.
So stupid thing I did, wrote a letter to the commander of SF at Fort Bragg, detailing everything this guy has discussed over the past year. I know they can't say yeah or nay back to me BUT if he is SF he will get a nice reprimand and I will have my proof. Lose my friend but have my proof. If he isn't then no reprimand etc and I still have my proof.
Guess the easier way would have been to ask if anyone here would tell if they knew of SF stationed at Dover AFB.

COntinuing BS
OK, so now he was at a party 2 months or 3 weeks ago. He got tired of listening to 3 off-duty delaware highway patrolman bragging. So he challenged them and beat em all up.
Not saying anyone in SF couldn't do it cause I am sure that is no problem. But would any of you guys actually do it, even if provoked?
His stories get better and better lol..

don't believe it.
That's the catch in this whole thread -- I don't believe that it is -- It just cracks me up how far posers will go to get you to believe that they are SF.
This one is about as believeable as his team is conducting operations on US soil taking out terrorist cells. I just hope one day he runs into a real SF team member and gets his clock cleaned!!!
If I ever meet the guy face to face he is going to get all the questions -- When did u complete Q school, who was your first team sargeant, who founded SF and can you show me some of your coins.
