Why did you try out for Special Forces?

I'm just curios why some of the Special Forces guys like Mr. Team Sergent or Mr. The Reaper, just to name two, decided to tryout for Special Forces.

I was in the Infantry and found training tame, routine, and VERY predictible....frankly I joined SF to ...be all I could be...I know it sounds corny but SF allowed my to swim in the "deeper end of the pool" and see how far I could go.
