Iranian Nuclear Scientist Assassinated?
WASHINGTON — A prize-winning Iranian nuclear scientist has died in mysterious circumstances, according to Radio Farda, which is funded by the U.S. State Department and broadcasts to Iran.
An intelligence source suggested that Ardeshire Hassanpour, 44, a nuclear physicist, had been assassinated by Mossad, the Israeli security service.
Hassanpour worked at a plant in Isfahan where uranium hexafluoride gas is produced. The gas is needed to enrich uranium in another plant at Natanz which has become the focus of concerns that Iran may be developing nuclear weapons.
According to Radio Farda, Iranian reports of Hassanpour’s death emerged on Jan. 21 after a delay of six days, giving the cause as “gas poisoning”. The Iranian reports did not say how or where Hassanpour was poisoned but his death was said to have been announced at a conference on nuclear safety.

No loss to the world!
If Israel was involved, that was probably a warning shot across the bow, next one takes out the Nuke site!

Damn, that radioactive stuff is dangerous, isn't it.
Make the whole facility disappear in a mushroom cloud, then tell them that playing with nukes can be hazardous to your health.

Looks to me as an "iranian nuclear scientist" had a lethal case of the dumbass, and the iranian morons don't wish the world to know that sooooooo they invent the story he was assassinated.....
If he was assassinated at the plant just think of what the assassin could do.....
I don't buy it. If he was hit at home or enroute to the plant it might be plausible.

I agree with TS. Besides, on their evening news they quite often broadcast stories of the "evil Israelis" breaking into homes in remote villages at night and stealing people's food. I'm not making that up! They love to blame anything that goes wrong on the Israelis. BUT - This is their latest claimed exploit:
Surely the Iranians are a gifted people! Look what they're claiming!
Not only have they invented a cure for AIDS, but it is totally homeopathic and has no known side effects - AND it has a 100% success rate!
I hope we invade Iran, because I can't wait to get to the Teheran zoo and see the unicorns!

Iran: Giant achievements coming soon
Ahmadinejad: On February 11, Islamic Republic's nuclear rights 'will be established'
Yaakov Lappin Published: 02.04.07, 17:13
"Giant achievements" by Iran will be unveiled by its president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, in the coming days, the Iranian Fars news agency reported on Saturday. The Iranian news agency said an upcoming dramatic announcement on Iran's nuclear "rights" would be made on February 11. The report was accompanied by a series of announcements heralding alleged Iranian technological and medical breakthroughs, including an "AIDS cure."
Ahmadinejad's "administration is going to publicize the country's remarkable progresses and achievements within the coming days," the Fars news agency said. "The Iranian president also reiterated that February 11 is the day when the Iranian nation's inalienable right to access and use nuclear technology will be established," the agency added.
"The Iranian nation will celebrate stabilization and establishment of its nuclear rights during the Ten-Day Dawn, (sic)" Ahmadinejad was quoted as saying. The "ten-day dawn" in early February marks the date of the Islamic revolution in Iran in 1979.
"When a nation decides to stand on its own feet to climb up the peaks, God helps it and that nation will embrace victory," Ahmadinejad said.
The Iranian government's boasts of "great achievements" included an announcement on Saturday that Iranian scientists have "introduced an AIDS cure".

That is completely laughable. The only medical technology they possess is finger, hand, and head removals.
I wonder if Iran will use the nuc scientist as an excuse to screw with Israel, even if it's untrue? Iranian leaders still deny the holocaust happened, why wouldn't they use this to openly start something?

Are they hiding more bodies???????? If there was one from a screw up there is likely to be more........ and I too don't buy him getting whacked inside a secure facility............. unless Mossad has recruited someone on the inside.....or there are fears that the nuclear issue is getting out of hand.

Uranium hexafluoride gas is extremely corrosive. One good whiff at high enough concentrations and you're off to see Allah.

What they failed to say was this guy had been glowing in the dark for 6 months prior to his assassination by the Mossad - coincidence?

What are the possibilities?
1. Poor equipment and an accident.
2. Whacked by Mossad who has a mole inside.
3. Whacked by someone on the inside because the nuclear issue is getting out of hand.
4. Whacked by the state because he was not going fast enough or disagreed with where the technology was going.
5. Suicide for some reason.
