Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned
Now that's cold! I saw a female rigger go in on a jump down at Keesler AFB, MS back in '86 - main/reserve entanglement. The scream she made before impact I will never forget. With 12.5 reserve rides out of 2653 jumps, I know that awful feeling. If convicted, they should do the same to her - throw her out at 13,000 ft with a non-functioning parachute.

Clottemans, a secretary, is understood to have attempted suicide hours before being brought in for questioning by detectives for a second time last month. She is said to be suffering from a personality disorder and is receiving treatment.
|
Uh-oh. I see we're making a turn into Insanity Plea City via Self-Justification Boulevard. She kills another person, and SHE's the one that needs treatment. Okay...

Police have also disclosed that Clottemans had previously been arrested for attempting to run over an American boyfriend. He escaped injury and she was released without charge.

Oh, no doubt, this is the kind of stable, loving, caring girl that every guy should look for. Forget about background checks on purchasing weapons. It appears they are needed for dating instead...or maybe purchasing parachutes...or automobiles.

Nice Love Triangle. Can you hear her - "Honey, lets take your other girlfriend up for a freefall, it'll be fun." after exit - "Look Bitch, it's not the fall that kills you, it's the sudden stop at the bottom! And this way I don't dent my car either."

It is Belgium, IIRC.
No death penalty, probably a short sentence in some nice psych country club or Club Fed type setting.
Then on to the bext boyfriend.

Well, it would seem everyone in the story is "wrong."
Perhaps the paths they followed led them to the "really long drop and sudden stop?" Yes, maybe not walking to the plane would have been a better idea.
