Frontline: The United States of Secrets

Frontline just had a two part series on the NSA and how the government IS spying on us.

Each one is about an hour long.

Here's part one .... http://video.pbs.org/video/2365245528/

Here's part two .... http://video.pbs.org/video/2365250130/

Interesting times we're living in, if I do say so.

Not fond of a lot of what PBS does, but Frontline gets it right more times than not. From a film prospective, they put quality documentaries on television. Something that is sorely missing amongst the alphabet networks.

The first 30 minutes of part one reads like a Clancy novel. Funny we were never made aware of just how many people were fired or resigned because they refused to go along with what the NSA was doing. Should be required viewing for everyone.

I happened on to it by accident for part one. It was one of the best documentaries that I have seen as of yet pertaining to that subject. I was impressed with the fact that they had so many of the major players that were willing to be interviewed. It gave me a lot of information to look into that I wasn't initially aware of. I certainly recommend it.

What a lot of people don't know is Greenwald/Snowden never released any info about spying on other countries. Only the domestic stuff.
That was the NY Times that released a series of 12 stories exposing all the spying on forign countries. Which is strange since they don't have the documents. It was like the times was trying to paint them as traitors knowing they would get blamed for it.
The only forign stuff Greenwald/Snowden released was the Merkel spying. Because they told the NSA to stop harrasing Snowdens family, pertically his dad. When they didn't stop they dropped the Merkel bombshell.
Thats pretty important information for the people who are calling him a traitor.
