SEALS Photo "scandal"
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,141695,00.html
What is your guys take on this? Any substance, is it another Abu Gharib, or just some operators taking some pictures that their wife shouldn't have posted?

wtf???
I don't see what the big deal is. So what if they're hooded? It's not like that will hurt them, and I can see it being important to security if they end up being released. As for the blood, you make us send the SEALs for you, you might get a bloody nose. If you're afraid of getting a boo boo, turn your raggedy a$$ in and tell us what you know. As for the photos with the smiles, isn't anyone allowed to celebrate a job well done anymore? Next thing you know, Barbara Boxer and Bernie Sanders will have the SEALs going out armed with nets and nerf bats.

I this was hashed out and rehashed to the point that the thread was closed.
IMHO enough, in fact too much has been said. This rerally has nothing to do with SEALS, whales, elephants or snakes. Someone's wife, perhaps EX by now, stepped on her boobies.

I agree, I am not sure what the "Barbara boxer" types want exactly, either robots for operators, or to not even fight wars, terrorists etc.
I don't really think that an issue like this can really be addressed on its own, but it has to be used in the greater context (eg mr. Barret's article). There is some non-trivial segment of the population that is truly anti-soldier, and I am not really sure how to address it. They feel with all their conviction that the American soldier is a vile and evil beast who terrorizes innocent people, how do you combat this false image they have?
The irony of this situation is that these ideologues (B. boxer as a prime example) are more hypocrites than true prophets of the police state, because while they enact every action and law they can to hurt their constituents and the soldiers who protect them, they drink of the fruits that they forbid us from imbibing. Barbara Boxer is a licensed FFL and CCW carrier, how about that hypocrisy.

This issue has been addressed. A picture is worth a thousand words, but 900 of those are useless, since a picture is a two dimensional view of a four-dimensional world.
