How cold is it?
It's so cold that I saw a Democrat Congressman with his hands in his own pockets.

It's so cold here,,
The fish started a bond fire on the beach and are handing out free BBQ sauce...
Currently 49 deg, going into the low 40t's in the AM...

Its so cold in st pete that my reverse cycle ac has been running at 80 for the past 24 hrs and the inside temp is only 74.2 degrees. I had to put on my winter in DC clothes. To bring up the temp I went into a marathon cookie and mini-muffin baking session. Banana, lemon, and gingerbread muffins, thumbprint jam and molassses cookies.
We had snow flurries in Tampa early this morning. Weather Channel showed a rain loop this morning about ten am with those pink sections that said sleet just NE of Orlando and SE of Tampa. Be prepared to pay dearly for strawberries and OJ.
Strawberry season was just coming into high gear, emphasis on was. There goes my yearly strawberry jam making gig.

Oh, my fellow Floridians. I am freezing here as well, just east of Tampa. I am afraid of what this cold may do to my crops (strawberries, tomatoes, snaps, blueberries, & blackberries).
I grew up in VA with every intention of leaving there due to the winter months...then this happens. Went fishing down in and around Cockroach Bay a few days ago and about froze in the middle of the day.
*i dont have that many plants, i call them crops though because it pisses the local in-laws off.

If it makes you feel better, I am thawing a water line in the hunting cabin. Got -6 below last night. Bird dog slept in bed with me. Awww, I hear the water running now. Amazing what one can accomplish with a hair dryer and a shop vac.
