John M. Mumpkins, SFC(R)

John M. Lumpkins

Retired Army Sgt. 1st Class John Morris Lumpkins, 70, died Monday, Sept. 19, 2005, in Highsmith-Rainey Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Chapter 1-18 in Fayetteville, NC. John Served with the 77th, 7th, 3rd, 8th, 5th SFGs and SFTG.



The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home chapel. Burial with full military honors will be in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 PM Sept. 22, 2005 (tonight) at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Carolina Eye Bank, 3900 Westpoint Blvd., Suite F, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
