Boys Will Be Boys

Two young boys walked into a pharmacy one day, picked out a box of Tampax and proceeded to the checkout counter.

The man at the counter asked the older boy, "Son, how old are you?"

"Eight", the boy replied.

The man continued, "Do you know how these are used?

The boy replied, "Not exactly, but they aren't for me. They're for him. He's my little brother. He's four. We saw on TV that if you use these, you'd be able to swim and ride a bike. He can't do either one."

Brings back some memories here. During my first tour to Germany as a 2LT we had a 1SG, great guy after you understood his sense of humor, who had a bad case of hemorroids. We also had a clerk by the name of Norris. Now Norris was a good kid and a college draftee who was way to smart for his own good but really had no idea which end of an M-14 the round emerged but was a hell of a clerk. The 1SG, having a bad time while we were deployed to Höhenfells for a month's long FTX, started bleeding like a stuck swine to the point where the blood was soaking through his fatiques. Not wanting the troops to think he had some type of urinary problem he sensed a field expedient was in order to sop up the blood and sent Norris off to the local PX to get him some Kotex Pads. Norris, not really knowing what the 1SG wanted the feminine hygiene product for, couldn't find Kotex so he got what he thought was the next best thing-Tampex. I found Norris on KP standing behind the mess line looking really dejected as he ladeled out chicken noodle soup from a mermite can. Thinking the lad had something really wrong with him I took over for him for a minute and asked him what was wrong. "Damn Sir", he mumbled, " when I handed top the Tampex he went ballistic and asked me if I would like to be the training aid for the Tampex I just gave him or would he rather that he just jam his boot up my ass instead?"

Jack Moroney-kinda wondering to this day how the 1SG would have explained that little white lanyard hanging out of his butt in the gang shower
