I love a good Boston creme but a crueller is always good too.

I like a good Blueberry cake or apple fritter once in a while. I OD'ed on Krispy Kreme when they Opened their first store here and someone was giving out boxes of their glazed donuts. I really haven't been much on Donuts since then.

When I indulge it's either an apple fritter or a cake donut with chocolate frosting from a real bakery. Personally I think the Krispy Kreme donut is overrated...had one for the first time last year.

If it wasn't hot, you wouldn't understand.

I went to school in Winston-Salem, and had my fill of Krispy Kreme glazed donuts. They will always remind me of my study group. There's a franchise relatively close to us, and every once in a while I'll drag my wife down there for a late night donut run, to grab a dozen as they fall off the conveyor.

Ahhhhhh yes, the inevitable perpetuation of the cop stereotype! OK I'll take a shot....Wheat bagel, toasted, with Philly cream cheese-HA!

A little sugar on top, nothing more.
Chocolate and coffee on the side, and you're all set.

Funny you should point that out TR. Someone brought in a box just this morning, all hot and fresh. While I won't allow myself to indulge often...I'm now a convert.

I once asked a cop why that stereo type exists. It took him a minute to answer as he was chomping on a fresh powdered donut but basically what I understood the jist of it to be is that once upon a time (no this is not an airforce story) in the days pre AM/PM and 24 hour convienence stores donut shops were one of the only places open late/24 hours where they could get something to munch on as well as a fresj cup of coffee. They also tend to be located centrally for calls making it a great spot to be.
