Howard Dean on Meet The Press

That boy is the best thing ever to have happened to the Republican party!

DR. DEAN: Such as the weapons of mass destruction, which we have all known about, but the...

MR. RUSSERT: Well, you said there were weapons of mass destruction.

DR. DEAN: I said I wasn't sure, but I said I thought there probably were. But the thing that really bothered me the most, which the 9-11 Commission said also wasn't true, is the insinuation that the president continues to make to this day that Osama bin Laden had something to do with supporting terrorists that attacked the United States. That is false. The 9-11 Commission, chaired by a Republican, said it was false. Is it wrong to send people to war without telling them the truth. And the truth was Osama bin Laden was a very bad person who was doing terrible things, but that Iraq was never a threat to the United States

I absolutely love HD. Politics were so boring before he went national. And they made him the chairman - LOL

I think he makes a great spokesman for the Dems.

I also like the fact that they have members like Michael Crook, who issued an email announcement claiming that he had been assassinated by opponents of his disgusting website, "Forsake The Troops", apparently just for the publicity, since he was on Hannity and Colmes four days later.

Maybe he just "got better".

BTW, his name is Howard, not John. John Dean worked for Nixon.

since i missed the show, are we talking about John Dean of Watergate fame or Howard Dean, the late presumptive nominee of the Democratic Party (before overcome by an unwarranted burst of false motivation in Iowa)...??????????

Now you are getting a picture of what politics is like in Vermont. I am convinced that the only reason he stayed in politics and stopped practicing medicine was because he did not have to pay malpractice insurance to be a politician. What is even more rediculous is the support base that he has in this state, folks up here actually believe the idiotic nonsense he spouts. This is one of the last bastions of provincialism and they have some mythical belief in a "Vermont way of life" at the expense of actually being able to live it. Beautiful country, great folks, but politically inept at doing anything but fostering chaos when it comes to politics and progress to address the needs of their constituents.

Jack Moroney-amazed at all the UW potential for social change in the Green Mountains

Ahh Gypsy, wish that it was that simple unfortunately when a politician is quilty of malpractice troops pay the premium in blood!

Jack Moroney-politicians, like the commanders that have to clean up their mess, should have term limits

Understood Sir, of course that is very sadly true. I should have clarified my comment by actually completing the thought behind it. My brain works that way sometimes. I had a flash of an idea that if they had to pay malpractice insurance they would be much more careful in those decisions that affect our most precious Troops. Wishful thinking....

I must agree with you on term limits. Ted Kennedy and his ilk are prime examples of why they are necessary.
