I think Vlad is making some very dicey statements

The Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Maria Zakharova has warned both Finland and Sweden that they will face “severe military and political consequences” if they attempt to join NATO.

It's unfortunate that the entire world has chosen to use Vladimir Putin as a stage prop for the last 20 years - each and every little political enclave blaming "the other side" for getting too cozy with Putin when diplomacy is attempted or for trying to start a war when they take a hard stance against Putin.

Vladimir Putin has always been exactly the man he is today - he spent years as a ruthless cold war era KGB agent and he carried that attitude into politics. he has ALWAYS made it clear that he yearned for a return to "the good old days" of mother Russia.
...but here we are - people around the world acting surprised.

I believe it was an Obama/Biden executive branch that mocked Mitt Romney ten years ago when he said that Russia was going to be the next big threat. MOCKED him like he was an idiot - made jokes about fighting on horse back with bayonets.
...but here we are.

I believe it was VP Bidens son that was so deep in bed with oil companies in the region that we were forced to impeach a president. Albeit not the same president that was tied to shifty oil deals in the region but - well- lets not focus on minor details - we have bigger fish to fry right now.

Putin was and will always be the bad guy. The problem is, after 81 million votes were counted and certified, Americans are just now starting to realize that the guy filling the seat (the good guy-contextually speaking) might possibly be in over his head. Everyone is screaming "somebody ought to do something"
...well for fuck sake, haven't some of these motherfuckers done enough already? We WERE doing something but 81 million votes counted put an end to it.

We had a guy that chastised Angela Merkel for spending money on Russian energy and liberals mocked him for trying to "mansplain" geopolitics to a world leader because hashtag girrrlpower - and now Germany has gone silent because they realize that not only have they spent all that time FUNDING this buildup with their energy purchases, they know if they talk too loud, Putin will turn the spigot and cast them into darkness.

We had a guy that fought an uphill battle trying to get to American energy independence to help guard against a scenario like this and the current guy said DURING A DEBATE that he would shut down the oil and coal industries if he could - and by closing OUR pipeline, he empowered the Russian and thus, helped fund their build up.
...but here we are.

It took what we have arrived at to make motherfuckers around the world open their eyes...
...the world is NOT filled with ice cream and butterflies. The real world is filled with power hungry strong men like the evil Vladimir Putin and the silent but deadly Jinping Xi that seek to force America to her knees through any means necessary.

Then one day, everyones eyes started to open when a man who had made a life out of strong arming people at gun point when he needed to, decided to tell the IKEA people that they couldn't join a club or he would kick their asses...
...and here we are.

Russia isn’t going to let the boa constrictor tighten.
They’re going to move when at an advantage, not wait until they’re at a disadvantage.

They’re facing demographic decline, much of their geopolitical power is based on hydrocarbon production, and nuclear fusion just went from a scientific problem to an engineering problem.
Time is running out for them.

China is also falling off a demographic cliff, facing a decline in power, and will need to act soon.
Meanwhile, the only real threat to their ambitions has a weak head of state and a divided populace.

Cut off Europe from alternatives while threatening a dying nuclear power with strategic encirclement.
Not a roadmap to peace.

OK, so Israel and Greece care why exactly if the morons in the district of clowns “gives them permission” by “supporting” anything those Sovereign Nations do?

Well said Box. Weak leadership and corruption throughout the world's nations have set this up and the only guy who politically stood strong for his country was almost ostracized (he still has a voice) and demonized for his stance. We are governed by fools and the background shot callers only want to see us completely destroyed.

A foul cry to those of you who think the resident of the White House is calling the shots.

It grieves the heart how few, if any, politicians are real leaders more than they are (at best) half-assed advertising managers.

Affirmative. This is the Obama 3.0 he actually mused about. There is a reason that it is staffed by (seldom seen, hardly quoted) people from the first two versions. That their operational incompetence still furthers the degradation of a republic is a net win for them.
