I'm sure that women should not engage in such work. Men have to do this!

Since you never bothered to fill out a profile, and never bothered to have an intro as your first post...I can only assume you have many, many, years of combat arms service.

There are two valuable lessons that I have learned from democrats...

1) never let a crisis go to waste
2) never let findings interfere with an agenda

why should DACOWITS have any chance of derailing an agenda with something as weightless as 'findings'

hahahahahahaha

Question, is the problem for women in combat roles (SOF or not) a problem with standards or interest?

From the data provided by Team Sergeant from DACOWITS, what I get from the from it is that there isn't much interest from women wanting to do it on a higher level other than standard combat jobs.

Only other "incentives" given have been from the "heard it from a bro" and can't be verified accurately.

There's a lot of media and political focus on Phase II (Training) which will not result in any meaningful conclusions. Someone will eventually graduate. I believe Phase III (Operational Assignment), over time, will tell whatever truth exists.

I've said it before - any female grad (officer or enlisted) will be given a "safe team" assignment and spend a very limited time on it. They will quickly shoot through the B and C Teams to SWC where they will be assigned to training the new centurions - and trotted out for special interviews.

The "safe team" concept would really be the only way to go or they would have to be put in selected Groups or go on selected deployments. In the FID deployments I went on, the region was quite peculiar to women not having any viable status....a lot of you gents are familiar with this AO......i.e. Southwest Asia/Middle East. I can't see G.I. Jane Green Beret building very much rapport with said troops in these types of countries.

Wouldn't be very much learning going on if, say....she was instructing BRM, or whatever. I had issues on my first class with Kuwaitis because of my baby face....that changed a fair amount when I told them I had six kids...not true, but it worked.
Manhood means a lot in these societies and that seems to be overlooked when wanting to allow women into this world of Army Special Forces who have a very unique job that so very often requires building rapport with your indeg..

LOL... Six kids, if it were true I would say "You Da Man"....Ha.....

Well, all I can say is that to even make it into the elite Special Forces, it takes a very unique individual. If only a few percent of men make it through the rigors of training, as well as having the mental toughness, then how in the hell could a women even comprehend that she could equal up? I am sure that there are some very strong, and focused women out there that could, and I say “could” with skepticism. To me, there is a reason why it is called “Special Forces”, and to even think of lowering standards to allow women to “compete” defeats the purpose of an Elite Unit. And damn, if they were anything like me, where in the hell would they keep their lipstick? I don’t go anywhere without lipstick.

One thing about the Brave SF Men on PS is that since way back when, their stance has never waivered, and their logic is sound about this topic. Females as SF soldiers is NOT a good idea!

If one were to search this topic from the mid-2000's, there are many, many posts clearly outlining in detail why, from the ground up.

Way back then, I learned a lot of information reading these posts, and it helped shape my opinion, as it did countless others am sure.

Thank goodness for their sound logic!

(and Rita...lipstick huh? Awesome! LOL)
