Long overdue honor for one of our best.

Yeah overdue no doubt

Not to be negative but I think he deserved more than a classroom after all they named the gym after Larry Thorne or Lowell Stevens I can't remember now great SF warriors no doubt but Bob is the most decorated soldier of the Vietnam War

A nice statue of Col. Bob as a Major....with ruck/LBE humping with a long stride and chin out would be appropriate on one of the Mackall streets.

He was a legend in '69 when I went through Phase 1. Fitting that a building at Mackall is named for him (or any other building in training group). Wow, a brick building at Mackall! Who'd ever thunk.

I agree with PRB, putting a statue near Camp Mackall front gate to let future SF candidates know who walked before them...and what he sacrificed for this country with humility....never seeking adulation, but always expecting the best from you.
