Army Navy game

I haven't paid attention to this game since ever, not just since Army began a 14-year losing streak (and Army is winning now). However, we're watching it today after taking a break from home remodeling.

Does anyone know why the flags on Army's right shoulders are backwards? The field with the stars should be facing forwards. At least it did on my shoulder when playing for Army in the Sand Bowl.

Ok, I found it. Army's uniforms this game (or season?) were paying tribute to the 82nd Airborne in WWII. This is why the flag was "backwards" as compared to how it's worn today.

Congrats on the victory, cadets.

...be careful what you ask for. With this many crazy things happening, CERN is certain to create a black hole in the LHC.

When Trump went into the broadcast booth, at home we were yelling at the TV, "No, he's going to say something stupid!"

Anyone else see this?

“I mean, I don’t know if it’s necessarily the best football, but it’s very good."

Come on, man.

Yes, but I took it to mean that it's been a long time since a military academy has been top tier in NCAA *ball athletics. I recently read that the '45 USMA football team was the 2nd best team in college sports history. (My uncle, LTG Hal Moore, and 8th SFG COL Dexter were seniors there that year.)

There was absolutely no need for him to say anything in the vein he did.

Agreed, he really does need a governor on his tongue, but he's never had to do it before. I hope he learns soon.

BTW, a historical note of absolutely no significance, it was pretty cool that Edgar Alla(e)n Poe, Jr., played on the winning side for The Black Knights in Baltimore! (Youngsters: The Poet E.A. Poe went to West Point.)

I think this is key. He has had different experiences... I'm sure the governor is in place when he is the principle sitting across the table from his counterpart in the final meeting where a major business deal either flies or dies. He is still a political novice. One with good instincts and one that had the benefit of some fortunate circumstances but still a novice.
