SF MoH Recipient undergoing Chemo
Gary Beikirch, a living SF Medal of Honor recipient from Vietnam was recently diagnosed with cancer and got out of the hospital a few days ago. He will be undergoing chemotherapy soon.
He's a very humble man of great character, not only did he serve America well while in the military, he has dedicated much of his life to positively influencing youth, and spreading the Gospel of Christ.
During the action that he received the Medal of Honor for, he was carried by some teenage Montagnard's, he clearly understands that young adults are capable of accepting some pretty outstanding responsibilities, that American society does not typically give them credit for.
His interviews on youtube are worth watching.
If anyone would like to send him a get well card, it would mean a lot to them, and there is evidence that an optimistic outlook and laughter helps to ensure survival.
His wife Lolly has given me permission to post their P.O. Box for that purpose.
Gary Beikirch
PO Box 191
North Greece, NY 14515

Praying that he beats this. I had the honor to meet Gary at a SFA convention in 2003 at Carlisle Barracks where my team was tasked as the honor guard. Very humble and quiet man.

I lived in Rochester for 16 years and ran into Gary a number of times at Vet events around town. He was the walking-talking embodiment of the quiet professional, very humble. Prayers going out for a speedy recovery!

Tell him Dusty said God bless and heal him and that chemo is a piece of cake.
Seriously. Tell him to push it (mowing the lawn, chores, workouts, whatever). Harder he pushes, the easier the regimen.
