A PC Nut-Case on the lose at Ft Carson..

Completely and unequivocally disagree with this.

Comrade Hodne should get his a$$ kicked..

Fort Carson colonel makes uniform adjustment during training
By Tom Roeder

PIÑON CANYON - An Army uniform is normally a cloth resume, showing where soldiers have fought and how they've been trained.

Experience is obvious at first glance, with jump wings, combat patches and other job-related insignia.

But that's not the case for Fort Carson's 1st Brigade Combat Team, where commanders have banned everything but the flag, last name, rank, "U.S. ARMY" and the 4th Infantry Division insignia during training this month for the unit's more than 4,000 soldiers.

"It's a culture thing," said brigade commander Col. David Hodne, who mandated the austere fashion statement.

"It's about the collective, it's not about the individual," Hodne explained during a training exercise last week at Fort Carson's Piñon Canyon Maneuver Site east of Trinidad.

What a tool.....this will prob catch Obama's eye as a positive...the 'collective'.
Too bad we can't send him to a nice collective farm somewhere.

I have no words left for this ass-foolery currently going on.

He's trying a team building thing with exactly the wrong approach....maybe we should all take rank off too.

That was my first thought.

Tell the men to elect their leadership based on their own criteria.

All we used to wear outside of garrison in Group was pin-on rank and (for Officers) branch insignia when around other units, and no rank/insignia when in the field.

Reverse

Reverse of a small trend in SWC in the late 80's.

Some started wearing just name tape, US Army, unit patch and rank. Not many, just here and there.

But it was enough that it was put out in CSM meetings that folks would sew on all their good shit.

I had a brain fart and Joker pointed it out. I stand corrected. That's SF, you make a mistake and don't realize it someone will come along shortly and tell you you stepped on your dick. No fanfare, no hype, just a "Hey you know you stepped on your dick there..."

I swear, the older I get the more "human" I become.

I read both posts and that was a very easy mistake to make. I think you have a few more years to go before you are fully "human".
