Yep - a low-level data input operator just using the range of years 93-97 w/o identifying a century (18 or 19) = GIGO and

And so it goes..

Yeah, low level input operator.

Like when they really killed of a few hundred troops at JRTC.

In one of the early rotations when JRTC was just getting started somebody in the Brigade S-1 shop forgot to clear all the play casualties. Went back to home station, plugged in an "poof" they were dead. IIRC nobody really noticed until payday - then the SHTF.

Took a while to undue since when the Army says you're dead - you are dead.

This is a millennium error. All the 2 digit yr codes should have been changed to 4 digits 15 yrs ago and the field audit should also have been fix'd..

My org started fixing the date codes in the mid-80t's.

Just plain stupid..

Something tells me you thought I was trying to be funny...

People's names pop up in government databases all the time. The name gets no movement for years and then pops up in a registry database somewhere...
...then since it pops up in a database, it gets auto-populated in other databases.

Next thing you know, some automated cross referenced government database says "hey, these fuckers are voting but not registered for the draft"...
...of course THAT could never happen in America now could it. Pure tin-foil hat birther nonsense!

What was I thinking, such a silly theory.
