Back in '77 my Father (a Major in the New Zealand Army), whilst on a foreign officer exchange, was attached to the US Army Infantry School, and ultimately lead the "Leadership Branch, Command and Tactics Department" at the School.
My sister was born at Martin Army Community Hospital during this time.
She will be visiting Georgia in a few weeks, and on Thursday, April 10th will be near Fort Benning. She would relish the opportunity to visit the base, and see some of our family's history.
If any one can give me advice on how to seek assistance from the base itself, POC etc, or perhaps someone in the location may enjoy showing her the sights for an hour or two.
Some things she would like to do:
- Visit Martin Army Community Hospital where she was born
- Visit Austin Loop where our family was quartered
- Visit the Department our Father lead - The Leadership Branch, Command and Tactics Department. (Can't quite figure out what it might be called now?)
- Visit the Columbus / Fort Benning Rugby Club that our Father helped start
- Graduate from Basic Airborne School

Any information would be appreciated.
