SAR in Laos

Great video of Vietnam-era rescue helicopters, FAC and an A-1s in Laos action.
This video sequence documents the actions of the entire Rescue Team in action, one of the best I've seen.

Hobo, Firefly, and Sandy of 1st SOS, 602nd SOS, and 40th ARRS out of NKP. Those guys were shit hot and good to work with - they always kept 2xA-1s and 2xHH-53s on 15 min day alert and 45 min nightime alert there.

Good film - thanks for the memories.

Got to know the PJ's, Jolly Green and Knife pilots up at NKP pretty well, very good guys, The FACs' (they flew OV-10's) call sign was "Nail", also very good guys... They all used to come out to our camp when training new guys. They treated us great when we would go into NKP for supplies...
