Mikhail Kalashnikov dies at 94.
Mikhail Kalashnikov, whose work as a firearms designer for the Soviet Union is immortalized in the name of the world's most popular weapon, died Monday at the age of 94.

Well, he didn't say that; there's no mention in the article that he copied the German Sturmgewehr-44.
