NON-VA ER Visit Coverage

Just got this in the mail yesterday in the mail.

The VA will cover some or all ER expenses for Veterans.

If a veteran goes to the ER or is admitted on an Emergency basis to a hospital the VA can pick up some or all the charges.

The VA needs to be notified in 72 hours of the admission by the Veteran, their family, or a friend.

The attached Fact Sheet has more information.

A lot of veterans have not other health care than through the VA. So this is a way of publicizing a process that has been in place for some time, but few have known about.
